Why do my baby teeth fall out?
Everyone's first teeth are small. That way they will fit in our mouths even when we are very small.
Your baby teeth start to grow up about the same time that you do - about when you start school.
As you grow your new teeth start to appear, these are the teeth that you will have for the rest of your life. Sometimes a new tooth comes through before the baby tooth falls out.
Some children even end
up with two rows of teeth for a while.
All the baby teeth will keep getting looser until finally they fall out, leaving you with your bright new big teeth.
When you grow up you have 28 teeth, but when you get to about 20 four more teeth grow right up the back, these are called wisdom teeth.
